Service Description
At Terakoya NINJA's Japanese sweets making experience, you can learn how to make nerikiri, the main sweet traditionally served at tea ceremonies. The tea ceremony has a history of hundreds of years, originating from samurai culture, and was once considered the ultimate form of entertainment. Our experienced host will explain and guide you through the unique Japanese sweets used in tea ceremonies while you enjoy a cup of matcha green tea. In this popular Japanese sweets making experience, you can enjoy crafting traditional sweets and tasting matcha green tea, served by a kimono-clad host. The course is held in a 24-tatami-mat authentic tatami room and lasts about 60 minutes. Guided instruction is available in both English and Japanese. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the beauty and tradition of Japanese sweets making! The number of participants can be set from 2 to 10 people.
