
Japanese Traditional Tea Ceremony
This is an authentic tea ceremony experience where you learn from the host wearing a kimono.
Service Description
In this very popular tea ceremony experience, you will enjoy a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, matcha green tea, and wagashi (Japanese sweets) prepared by a kimono-clad master teishu. The course takes place in a 24-mat authentic tatami room and lasts approximately 60 minutes. Guided activities are available in both English and Japanese. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the historic Japanese tea ceremony! With a history dating back hundreds of years, the tea ceremony originated in samurai culture and was once considered the highest form of entertainment. Experienced tea masters will guide you through the special utensils and etiquette used in the ceremony as you enjoy the experience firsthand. The number of participants can range from 2 to 20 people. Please note that reservations for only one person may be subject to cancellation. For groups of more than 10 people, please contact us in advance. For groups of 21 or more, please inquire separately.
